When Should You Use an Urgent Care Doctor?

Urgent care can be a lifesaver in certain situations. While it's not always necessary, it can be incredibly beneficial when you need it. Here are a few reasons why urgent care can be a great option for you.

Urgent care centers are a convenient option for patients who need medical attention for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries.

Some examples of situations that may require an urgent care visit include minor cuts or burns, sprains, and fevers. These centers offer prompt medical care without the need for an appointment.

  • Accidents or falls

  • Back problems (moderate issues)

  • Bleeding or cuts that may require stitches

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Diagnostic services

  • Eye irritation

  • Flu, fever, sore throat, cough, etc.

  • Minor fractures or broken bones

  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, etc.

  • Rashes or infections

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Any life-threatening situations, such as a heart attack, will need immediate attention from the emergency room, not urgent care.
